We all have our favorite game, console , controller, or some sort of perriphal which Nintendo was full of, Do you remember the Power Glove. The Nintendo Entertainment Systems secret weapon for playing games like Mike Tyson’s Punch Out. This was the first peripheral interface controller to recreate human hand movements on a television or computer screen in real time while still allowing the user to function the glove the same way a regular controller for other games not needing the motion and interactivity.
So what was your favorite Console? Was it playing Dragon Warrior and defeating the Dragon Lord in the Castle of the Dragon King on the Nintendo Entertainment System? Or maybe you were more partial to the introduction of Yoshi in Super Mario World on the Super NES. Are you a newcomer to the World of Nintendo, maybe you are just getting into the Wii System and fell in love with the exercise and interactivity you receive out of the Wii Fit games.
No matter your preference and favorites, one thing is for sure Nintendo has been a part of our lives for many a year. Truly lucky aare we that have encountered the enjoyment of picking up a controller and disappearing into a realm of fiction and imagination. Swinging your way through one of the many mazes and puzzles trying to save a princess named Zelda, or simply making your way to the end of a long rpg like Chrono Trigger opr final fantasy you always find yourself having the opportunity to escape your reality and just enjoy yourself as if you were a child again.
No matter the age we can always pick up that controller and see where our mind and the game takes us. Some may strike fear into the user, where others are simply great stress relief such as bodyslamming your opponent down on the squared circle ring that is the WWE Wrestling.
So now that we have assesssed your favorite, it is time to get playing, what are you waiting for. These games do no good sitting on a shelf, or in a box in your basement. if you still have your classic cartridge system I say hook it up and have a blast, if not remember that in the Wii channel there are many emulators of the old school games which we loved so much as kids. Test some new oldies out while you are at it, if for nothing more then to respect the advancements we have accomplished as we truly have came a long way from that boxey looking Mario on the NES and that is something to be proud of. So once again I ask, What is your Favorite?
